Product description
Why THX
THX is an audio standard established in 1983 by George Lucas. THX playback corresponds to the requirements set by the sound engineers, ensuring a consistent film experience. The System 6 earned the newly introduced THX Select license.
THX certified speakers guarantee:
- Homogenous & precise playback thanks to identical front speakers and extremely low tolerance
- Near linear frequency response for true-to-source playback
- Dipole surround speakers with precisely defined dispersion characteristics resulting in a broad listening area
- Minimal levels of distortion for high, distortion-free levels just like in a professional cinema
- THX-certified sets (speakers and A/V receivers) work perfectly together
Functional design
The loudspeakers’ design isn’t just elegant, it’s highly functional. The matte surface reduces reflections that could muddy the system’s otherwise perfect cinema sound. Each satellite is only 15 cm deep, allowing for easy wall mounting and integrated keyhole openings on the back of the satellites are included on the rear dipoles as well. The speakers are compatible with speaker stands AC 7001 SP, available separately.

"Cinema-quality sound – no problem for the Teufel System 6 THX 5.2 set. Action movies sound intense, concert recordings incredibly realistic. The two dipole speakers create an immersive soundscape that draws you right into the action. Just be aware that the speakers can reach such high volumes, so you'd better get on good terms with your neighbors."

"Film fans love the feeling of a rich bass that resonates deep in their gut. It's easy with the S 6000 SW subwoofers included in the set. They generate a maximum sound pressure level of 110 dB/1m, and their impressive 25 Hz range is the lowest these two powerhouses can reproduce.""The S 600 FCR, included three times in the package, can handle a continuous power of 130 watts and a short-term power of 180 watts. These are excellent specifications – the efficiency (2.83V/1m) is also very good at 91 dB.""The System 6 THX is among the best speaker sets you can get for €2,000. Well-made, with excellent sound, capable of high volume levels, and compact – what more could you want? Teufel has done everything right..."
